About me

Hello there. My name is James Fletcher, I'm a web designer based in Nottingham, UK, focusing on the production of high quality, accessible websites.

I have worked for a number of years producing websites for a variety of clients including charities and small businesses. Since graduating from Lincoln University I have developed my skills further in design and the development of the code required to create a functional and standards compliant website. This enables the websites I produce to meet the standards set by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) creating consistency across all of the major internet browsers and therefore a high degree of accessibility.

I use the latest technologies in the development of a website. For example, the use of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) is of great importance in creating an overall style for a website and giving global control of layout, colour and page properties. Therefore, the websites I create are easy to update and maintain. Also, RSS feeds are in ever increasing demand due to the speed at which they deliver information to the user and I have produced a number of RSS feeds for clients that allow them to deliver the latest information or news quickly and efficiently to their customers.

I can also produce Flash animations and interactive experiences which bring a website to life and create a more engaging website. These can be additional elements to an otherwise static page or a website created completely using Flash.

Whatever the project, I always endeavour to produce the best possible results through attention to detail and by maintaining the high standards I have set myself.

Thanks for reading.
